After serving Lagos with celebrated breakfast and brunch baskets and platters for the past 4 years, breakfast bistro, Eats by TKO has taken its offerings to the next level with a cosy new dine-in space.

In an Instagram post, founder and head cook, Anita Jo-Okereke recounted the journey to opening their “permanent site”. “The journey has been personal, hard, rewarding and fulfilling, but I wouldn’t have it any other way,” Anita shared.

The bistro opened its doors officially on July 10th, so it’s fresh fresh and I think it’s particularly constructive that the business is open about being new to the restaurant game, even encouraging feedback and suggestions from patrons.

The food menu is an extension of the former online vendor’s menu, with options ranging from traditional Nigerian breakfast meals, to gourmet pancakes and waffles.

The drinks menu is regrettably narrower, featuring only a couple of tea options, milkshakes, fresh juice and parfaits. On the bright side though, all their drinks (currently) fall below the N4000 mark. Overall, with a budget of N10000, you should be able to enjoy a hearty meal and drink at this bistro.

The limited space, however, means Eats By TKO is primarily a grab ‘n’ go joint, the restaurant even making it clear on their social that they prioritise takeout and delivery orders. Although the space is small, its décor is optimised for Instagram (if you’re into that), so you can snag a few pics for the feed before you go.

They are open from 8AM to 6PM every day of the week, except Sundays, so unfortunately, you can’t pop by for a Sunday brunch at theirs. This was a tad surprising for me, considering most Lagos restaurants take their day off on Monday, but hey… who makes the rules?
