We're Eating Good on the Mainland: 5 Gems You Should Try Out 🌟

It’s always a good day to remind folks that the Mainland has some quality places to dine at. This one is for all the times you were willing to cross the bridge to find a decent restaurant, but couldn’t figure out where to start!

Islanders step back because the mainlanders are taking over-rrr and eating GOOD at these restaurants β€” with aesthetics, vibes and everything in between.

Cut Steakhouse

Located at Radisson Blu Hotel, Ikeja

Just as the name suggests, they mainly serve delicious steaks that will literally leave you drooling, served up great wine to make it an all-around ace eating experience. The lunch and dinner restaurant features a bar and lounge, and dining space suitable for groups or a more intimate affair.

PRICE RANGE (per person): 13000 - 40000

Hua Han

Located at 45c, Sobo Arobiodu Str., Ikeja GRA

This is one of the most famous Korean restaurants in Lagos, and for good reason. Hua Han is a proper Korean and Chinese restaurant that gives you a well-rounded feel of Asian culture - without trying too hard - while making sure you are well fed. It's like Asia but not Asia, you get?

The space is quiet, beautiful and has a really relaxing feel to it. The food is also pretty darn memorable. And on price? It’s a winner for me.

PRICE RANGE (per person): 17000 - 25000

Wakame

Located at Marriott Hotel, Ikeja

The only 5-star hotel in the country, might we add. Their menu is inspired by Asian street cuisine and they have chefs who do it justice. They serve good cocktails, Asian beer and traditional tea. They also take special occasion orders, so you can tell the chef what your taste is, sit back to savour your meal. You can have an intimate date there or a social gathering with friends.

Note: A reservation is required to avoid public washing.

PRICE RANGE (per person): 20000 - 50000

Oeuvre Bistro

LOCATED AT 3 Ogudu Rd, Ogudu Mall, Ogudu GRA

This is one of the new spots on the mainland. OeuvrΓ© is a French word that means "work of art". That is exactly what this bistro is: a bubbling space with amazing people and good food.

It has lovely aesthetics, very cosy with its black, beige and gold decor. The restaurant literally invites you in and you can't say no. They serve cocktails, small chops, wine, coffee, organic dishes and also have a kids’ menu β€” so family dining is definitely an option.

PRICE RANGE (per person): 5000 - 25000

Bungalow

9 Adekunle Fajuyi Way, Ikeja gra

Another hidden gem located in the heart of Ikeja. Bungalow has lovely indoor decor, with an outdoor restaurant if you want to be outsaaa. They serve cocktails, beer, wine, organic dishes and even have a kids menu. A plus: their menu is also vegetarian friendly. The atmosphere is casual and cozy and is large enough for groups.

Bungalow also boasts of a fast service and is a nice place for football lovers to catch a Sunday evening match.

PRICE RANGE (per person): 7000 - 30000

And there you have it, folks! When next someone says there are no good places to eat on the mainland, set ’em straight with this list.
