EDL Weekender: No Leftovers, Alté Vibes & A Beer Carnival
After fifty ‘leven days and nights, October has finally decided to close its chapter for the year. Isn’t it interesting how a long month with just a single public holiday can stretch?
Anyway, here’s what you can get up to this weekend.

EAT
No Leftovers By Ozoz Sokoh
Is there anything Kitchen Butterfly can’t do with Nigerian food at this point? I’ve always wondered how the food described in our literary pieces would taste like. Inspired by Chinua Achebe’s trilogy, Arrow of God, Things Fall Apart and No Longer At Ease, No Leftovers promises to be a 3-course literary dining experience. I can’t wait to see the yummy food pictures from this event.
LAGOS
Unplugged session
It’s never a dull weekend at Danfo Bistro, and this weekend, they’re having a cool thing for Indie lovers and alternative fans with performances from Clay and Danjuma.
Beer Carnival
Although I kind of judge people who enjoy drinking beer, I can’t be mad at the fact that there’s a beer carnival at Eko Hotels this weekend. I guess there’s always something for everyone. The carnival will not only be about alcohol, though. There will be a live band, games and a food court - because these three things go perfectly with beer.
Bonus
In spite of how much Abuja people clown Lagosians for their traffic woes, they have serious FOMO of events because the capital city is not exactly the city of rocks. I guess this is why someone came up with the Capital Block Party, inspired by the Mainland Block Party in Lagos. Honestly, I’m not mad at the idea.
