EDL Weekender: A Lot Of Concerts, Fregz Á Porter & A Dozen Facades
Let me just start by saying that this is the weekend for you to leave your man/babe at home and hit the streets because there is an abundance of rocks in Lagos to go round. From food events to concerts and parties, there is something for everybody and in the words of Beyoncé, the 'club’, or whichever event you choose is going to be full of ballers, so don’t dull yourself, just saying.
Speaking of rocks, I sincerely hope you’re on the lookout for some of the vendors showcasing at the coming Eat Drink Festival. Our friends at The Native spoke to 15 people who revealed the vendor’s they’re expecting to see at the festival, and you should check it out to see those who share the same taste in food as you.
It’s yet another weekend to unwind and let loose, so here are some fun activities you can get into before Monday comes to snatch all that joy away all over again:

Movie of The Week
Every weekend, in partnership with Film House, we’ll be sharing our top movie picks for the weekend. You already know we have great taste in food and music, and movies aren’t an exception.
Here are the movies we’ll be checking out this weekend:
‘Jumanji’:
The sequel to the surprisingly good Jumanji hit cinemas earlier this month and of course, it’s on our list of must-see movies this weekend. The best part of watching the characters try to survive all the twists and turns of the game is experiencing the movie in MX4D, the best cinema experience in Nigeria right now.
Just when I thought IMax and 4D had it all, imagine experiencing the humidity, weather changes and odour from the movie you’re watching! Need to mingle with billionaires so I can install this in my house, LOL!
‘Your Excellency’
What’s better than a December comedy? A political comedy inspired by the current political state of affairs in Nigeria! From the sugar daddy senators to the messy elections, expect drama, ratchet behaviour and many more from Funke Akindele’s directorial debut, Your Excellency.
Donation Drive For The Children of Takwa Bay
There’s never a wrong time to pay it forward, especially at this time of the year. To this effect, award-winning journalist and activist, Kiki Mordi is organizing a charity drive for the children of Takwa Bay, whose mothers featured in her 2019 documentary, Life At The Bay. This Christmas, she is organizing a party for the women, and the children won’t be left out of the fun.
