EDL Weekender: BBQ & Cravings in Agungi, a Whiskey Tasting, and Last Minute Valentine's Shopping

NOSA: It's marathon weekend and I've curated a special playlist for you to sit at home because I know you guys aren't doing any running.

As for the ones really running, well, yeah...good luck.

Anyway, here's a bunch of stuff you can get up to this weekend:

EAT: A New BBQ & Cravings Location

unknown.jpg
We just opened an outlet in Agungi, 2 mins walk from Dominos Pizza, next to Shepherd’s Place. We are so excited about this and hope you are as well.

The outlet is a new concept we will be rolling out called BBQ&C Pitstop. We will be offering a LIMITED MENU with a much faster service for your convenience.
— BBQ & Cravings

NOSA: This dropped in our email during the week. BBQ & Cravings has added a second, albeit smaller, location.

FOLLY: The idea is a more streamlined menu and quick service.

NOSA: Also, the new spot will pair of new items exclusive to the location.

DRINK: A Whiskey Tasting Experience

NOSA: Festival regular, Smigz Mobile Bar, is hosting a whiskey tasting in Lekki this evening. I'm not really a big whiskey person (I'm more Philistine than anything), but I might actually swing by this tonight.

FOLLY: I remember when Nosa was with a group of mature 60 plus men who were mostly drinking their scotch neat. They asked Nosa what he was drinking and his Philistine ass nearly said "Jameson" but he wanted to impress so he ordere Black Label instead.

The Pop-Up (Valentines Day Edition)

NOSA: Stumbled on this on my Twitter the other day and I figured I'd give it a shout on here because a couple of the vendors on show are Festival regulars. Also, I used Anoela Cards earlier this week and the service was fantastic.

Celebrate Valentine's at the GQ Lagos

It's not this weekend, but just a heads up. This Valentine’s Day, GQ Lagos and the American Women’s Club of Lagos are hosting a singles night at the American GQ. There’ll be a wine tasting, some games, and lots of dancing. Oh, there’ll be food too. Obviously.

NOSA: The money raised will go towards a scholarship fund run by the American Women’s Club of Lagos.

The AWC Scholarship Program has been active in the Lagos community for over 30 years. This program offers academic scholarships to secondary school students attending university programs. To date, over 300 students have benefited not only from the financial support but also from the mentorship provided by numerous members of The AWC who have acted as student sponsors.
