It’s been a hot minute since we had a post up on the blog about Sao Café. In the past, the restaurant and bistro has hosted a number of cool events, including one called SAO & The Muse — a creative showcase of young and rising artists living and working in Lagos — but things have moved on quite a bit since then.
In March 2023, Sao Café closed its doors for what appear to be relocation reasons, but today, they’ve announced they’ll be back up and running soon. In an Instagram post, the team wrote, “Indulge in the flavours of excitement as we reopen our doors! 🍽️✨ Join us as we bring back the joy of dining out and serve up delicious memories to last a lifetime. Rediscover your favourite dishes and experience the warm ambience of our restaurant once again!!! We can't wait to welcome you back! ❤️”
On this full-service restaurant’s menu, you’ll find classic breakfast options like a traditional English Breakfast and buttermilk pancakes, a host of salads and soups, and a variety of pizza and pasta. For drinks, Sao Café has a range of signature cocktails and mocktails, coffee and tea, as well as dessert.
