Recently, I’ve been getting messages like, “Hi Tola, my girls and I want to have a good time, good food and of course take some bomb pictures. Where can we go?” So, as the kind person that I am LOL, I have compiled a list of places that’s not just Insha Allah and vibes, but actually worth dressing up and spending your hard-earned cash.
1. CABARET AVIGNON ❤️
32 Musa Yar’Adua Street, Victoria Island, Lagos
This Spot is a gem, in my opinion. The space is super welcoming and it has large windows that allow for natural lighting to fill the room. Hence, every selfie will be a banger! Apart from being a totally Instagrammable spot, the food is also really good. They serve one of the best Jerk Chicken in Lagos and also they have the best milkshakes. BONUS: It’s an affordable joint. This is one spot you and your girls will deff have a great time!
2. SLOW LAGOS 🌟
2 Musa Yar’ Adua Street, Lagos
Best way I can describe this spot? Fine dining meets sophistication. When I think of Slow, I think of amazing cocktails; the bar is absolutely one of the best perks there. The food also speaks for itself; apparently, there is no bad day at Slow! The aesthetic is also super chill and very picture-worthy. So, while you’re getting it down with your drinks, you can also get it up with amazing photos!
3. OCEANS 5 BY RIVERA 👌🏾
20 Elsie Pearse, Victoria Island, Lagos
Oceans 5 By Rivera has become one of Instagram’s most notorious spots in Lagos. You can hardly scroll through your timeline without seeing a picture of someone here. The décor stands out, the lights and mirrors make your pictures look amazing and who doesn’t love that? Just the same way you get great pictures from this spot, you get great service as well. Their professional staff help you feel comfortable and taken care of. Now, about the food — it’s fair, but specific dishes are amazing. The cost of a girls’ night out here also won’t break the bank.
4. KALY 💎
1235B Akin Adesola, off Ahmadu Bello Way, Victoria Island
Kaly quickly became a favourite — and it’s not hard to see why. It’s an ultra-modern restaurant that gives all the vibes of fine dining, BUT NOTE: You have to have a boujee palate to really enjoy the meals they serve (no shade, xoxo). The drinks are really good and if you love alcohol, their cocktails do the magic! The space is also really pretty both indoors and outdoors, so when it comes to capturing the moment, you’re sorted. Although the prices are a bit on the high side, you are guaranteed to have a great time here! (Instagram tip: Make sure to take a photo with the iconic logo.)
5. SLICE LAGOS 👩❤️💋👩
19 Ologun Agbaje Victoria Island, Lagos
This spot was made for my girls who love Instagram — from the chairs, to the lights, to the show that comes with the drinks. It is *the place* for a good girls’ night out! They serve one of the most exciting cocktails in Lagos, and when it comes to the food, a few of their meals don’t do it for me but their starters are lovely. Also, this is another spot that’s quite on the high side when it comes to pricing, but all-in-all, it’s a worth it experience for you and your best gal pals.
