A Round-Up of the Best Restaurants to Celebrate #InternationalWaffleDay 🥇

I'm a brunch girl, period! I don't exactly like breakfast but having breakfast for lunch? Oh yes.

My friends always wonder why I go for waffles instead of pancakes but that's a story for another day, iykyk. When I’m in the mood for a good stack of waffles, there are a handful of places that come to mind.

I get my waffles based on mood, so when I want the kind that feels homemade, like it came straight out of my kitchen, I head straight to Godaïf Village. There's just something about the strawberry sauce they drizzle on it that makes it feel like the whole meal was made out of love 🥰 Plus, the portions are really generous. I love, love, love having waffles here.

Whenever I'm feeling a bit bougie and want waffles with a twist, I go to Corniche Bistro and get the waffle sandwich. It’s literally just excellent, perfect for breakfast and brunch, and super filling. The fruits give it a hint of freshness as well, and a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice is my favourite drink to pair with it.

Now, when I'm in that good-Sunday-breakfast-with-family-and-friends mood, I head straight over to Cactus for my waffles. They serve theirs with a variety of toppings — chocolate sauce, fresh strawberries, even granola. Their waffles are everything and more 🌟

Cafeteria, on the other hand, has the right to beat their chest and boast loudly because, *no arguments*, they serve the finest waffles in Lagos. It comes with different options as well — chicken, ice cream, with various sauces and toppings. You'll leave feeling happy, satisfied and full.

Finally, when I'm really hungry, I make a trip down to Buttermilk for their famous waffles and chicken. The chicken is a divine match for the waffles. Together, it makes such a delicious meal and I can't help myself whenever I visit.

If you’re in Lagos, make sure to try out waffles from one of these spots today. Happy International Waffle Day!
