Where To Find Decent Pasta In Lagos For Your Next Date Night

Lagos is a city that loves to put its own spin on cuisine, unfortunately, that doesn’t always work out well. But, if you can’t fly away to grab some authentic Italian pasta, here are a few places in Lagos to find decent pasta.

HSE Gourmet is one of the restaurants in Lagos with delicious food and generous portions. Their seafood linguine features a rich white wine butter sauce and a healthy helping of calamari and prawns. You can even add mussels.

La Taverna hardly disappoints on their promise of “Latin America in Lagos”. The Italian-influenced dishes are no exception. Their Penne Arrabiata is not only wonderful to look at, but tastes just as good. It has that extra spicy kick for those who want more fire from their sauces. 


3. What: Seafood Yaji Pasta

Where: Ile Eros

Ile Eros does a splendid job blending Nigerian influences with international cuisine - without marring their origins. While their Tozo Ragu comes a close second, the yaji pasta takes the lead here because there’s just something satisfying about well-executed seafood pasta.

This dish features seared grouper and a delicate, buttery, white wine sauce accompanied by a side of their delicious garlic bread.

This penne pasta dish features a basil and rosemary flavoured cream sauce with a side of seared chicken breasts.  It does a good job of infusing to well-loved herbs in a rich creamy sauce while catering to that Nigerian need for chicken.

This classic penne dish is served on a rich bed of creamy tomato sauce with basil and parmesan cheese and a hint of vodka. The vodka adds an extra kick for those who like a taste of liquor with their pasta. 


What: La Veranda

Where: Spaghetti la Bolognaise


You can’t really do pasta without a good Bolognese. La Veranda does an ambitious job with their bolognese, earning them a spot on this list.
