Jamski: The Last Jamaican Standing?

Look, we set out to find some good Jamaican food in Lagos. Turns out, the economy's been hitting our local spots hard. RIP Plantain and Kaya Kitchen.

So, Jamski it was. We're breaking down their menu - patties, festivals, rice and peas, and oxtail. Spoiler: it's a mixed bag.

Menu breakdown:

  • Rice and peas: ₦2,500

  • Oxtail: ₦4,700

  • Beef patty: ₦1,200

  • Vegetable patty: ₦1,200

  • Festival: ₦1,500

  • Delivery: ₦1,500

  • Total damage: ₦12,600

We're talking flavor-packed patties with dry pastry, festivals that think they're Nigerian buns, and oxtail that's more bone than meat. But hey, it's not all bad.

Is Jamski worth your money? Watch to find out. And if you know any hidden Jamaican gems in Lagos, drop them in the comments. We're on a mission to eat our way through this city, one cuisine at a time.
