NOSA: Because of genuine and adventurous she is, I tend to take Kitchen Butterfly's cosigns very seriously. Anything she likes, I have to check out. She's like my moral compass for food so when she gave Mazo Meals the plug, they immediately entered my to-do list.

NOSA: Like usual, we ordered Mazo Meals twice to get a proper feel of what it's like. On the first day, I tried out the Pork Chops & Potato Salad.

FOLLY: I only got to order once because..I don't even know what happened. I had the Fried Rice and Barbecue Chicken.

NOSA: The potato salad was bit of a gamble for me because I fully expected it to be rubbish. To my surprise, it was so far from my expectations.

And the serving size? Bloody hell! I could've split this with a coworker easily.

FOLLY: Yeah the serving size was large.

NOSA: The pork chops were bit dry on the second bite, but still of sufficient quality. There's something homely about Mazo Meals that I really appreciate. The food tasted like it was cooked with a mother's love. It's just a good ol' home cooked meal and packs all the expected personality.

FOLLY: The fried rice was simple: it had carrots, sweet corn, and green beans. The rice was firm and not mushy, however, it could have done with a bit more flavor.

The chicken was coated with a simple (read:bottle) barbecue sauce on the outside. The inside didn't really have any of that flavor. It was good but nothing really special, I prefer TFC Charcolite chicken.

NOSA: My second order was the Jollof Spaghetti. I'll be honest, I wasn't the biggest fan of this one.

The spaghetti was way too noodle-like for me and It reminded me of exactly why I want don't eat at home. For all the personality of a home cooked meal, when it falls short, it is most disappointing.

POSTSCRIPT

NOSA: I liked Mazo Meals, but I probably wouldn't order it for lunch everyday because it can be a bit expensive. Actually, scratch that. If you split with a coworker, you could definitely make it work.

FOLLY: Their dispatch is professional. He spoke clear English and could navigate to me without calling me. 

NOSA: This is a lot like Goodness Gracious Gourmet. When it's good, it's untouchable, but when it's bad, it's a mess.
