The Sweet Life: Indulging Your Sweet Tooth In Lagos
NOSA: Probably sweetest week on Eat.Drink.Lagos ever. Ice Cream Factory on Monday, Banana Bread on Tuesday, and that shit pancake on Wednesday.
FOLLY: I eat chocolate almost every day so I definitely have serious sweet tooth. Honestly, I don't know how I made it through the Whole 30 with no sugar. I used to open my drawer at work to look at my chocolates every day to make sure they were still there.
NOSA: Anyway, here are our favorite dessert spots in Lagos
FOLLY: It's really a good thing that THREE out of the five spots on this list are actually walking distance from my abode.
Hans & Rene
270 Ozumba Mbadiwe Ave., Victoria Island (Radisson Blu) x The Palms, Lekki x Ikeja City Mall, Ikeja.
NOSA: We’ve already told you how we think this is happiest place in Lagos. So yeah, we like Hans & Rene a lot. The cruffin (croissant + muffin) and tiramisu gelato are my personal favorites.
FOLLY: Salted Caramel gelato all day every for me.
Sweet Kiwi
NOSA: There aren’t a lot of froyo places in Lagos so they win by default.
FOLLY: I once wanted to open a Fro Yo store in Lagos, used to go into the store on Admiralty a lot for 'research'.
The Sweetspot Bakery
NOSA: I swear on Sweetspot cupcakes. Like, you might have to physically fight me to prove to me there is a better cupcake in Lagos.
FOLLY: And he'll definitely fight you if you say anything bad about the tiramisu cupcake particularly.
Ice Cream Factory
NOSA: It was too sweet for me at the #ICFDessertParty, but the waffles at ICF are my favorite thing.
FOLLY: Their Apple Crumble wins it for me every time.
Salt Lagos
NOSA: My birthday cake this year was from Salt Lagos and it was an total winner. I don’t know why put the icing in christmas colors though.
FOLLY: Those christmas colours < but this cake was really good. I'm even still upset that Nosa didn't let us have more cake on his birthday cause he wanted to take some "home".
