Where to Eat in Lagos This Month

We never got to wish you guys a Happy New Month, so we've decided to atone. Here are 5 restaurants you should absolutely check out this month.

We're even now, right?

Orchid House

This charming little restaurants proves that there is so much more to Apapa than trailers and traffic. It’s arguably the only authentic Thai restaurant in Lagos and since Bangkok has gone belly up, it is easily the best one there is. It’s absolutely worth the not so scenic drive to Apapa and we hope they never, ever change.

Craft Gourmet by Lou Baker

Similar to RSVP, Craft Gourmet is run by an adorable husband wife duo. Set in one of the most beautiful restaurant spaces in Lagos, Craft Gourmet serves up a selection of Lou’s favorite dishes like the Senegalese Chicken Yassa and her pancake platter. The pulled lamb burger is highly recommended and the all-day breakfast menu is easily one of the better ones in Lagos.

Pancake Hub

In the middle of the Yaba tech hub lies arguably Lagos' best pancakes. Pancake Hub isn't the fanciest spot you'll visit, but it'll be the most charming.

BL Restaurant

Open your mind and your appetite will follow. BL is Lagos' first restaurant with a Bulgarian menu. Yup, Bulgarian.  Now, there are safer options like the Lebanese fare and the pasta, but you really want to be adventurous here. Trust me. Did we mention they have the best hummus in Lagos? Oh yeah, they do.

Tarragon

Look away now if you love big portions, Tarragon is Lagos chef Tiyan Alile's magnum opus. In a city lacking proper fine dining options, Tarragon comes in at the perfect time. With its impressive wine selection, Tarragon is perfect for date night. Real date night, the one you get all dolled up for.
